Through a combination of mentorship, education, and practical experience, we equip aspiring musicians with the tools they need to thrive. We will work cohesively to build and strengthen communities, create opportunities and become a catalyst for innovation, hope and pride. We seek to provide a set of community assets and services that will provide a powerful platform for creatives and new customers and revenues for existing venues.
Offer tuition and mentorship from skilled experts to broaden young people’s skills.
Offer workshops in a variety of different fields within the creative arts to spark creativity and knowledge of potential future careers.
Give young people real-life experience in planning and managing events.
The problem is that less well-known artists, poets, musicians and supporting careers face massive barriers. Stories of working for free “to earn recognition”, struggling to find an audience, coping with vague and uncertain arrangements and lack of respect are common.
All this is against a backdrop of decades of neglected investment and decline in our region. But it doesn’t have to be like this. Our community has the skills and the passion to bring about change. 471 Routes C.I.C. has started to make waves at pace around a shared vision and set of values.
Working for 471 Routes C.I.C. is a pleasure and privilege. Working alongside people who have the same aim to promote the arts in the community. Giving those that may not have normally attempted to present their work the chance to show how talented they are.
I would like to say that currently it’s been an absolute pleasure to be involved in a team around 471 Routes C.I.C. The 471 team are working hard to make things happen with great energy.

I have thoroughly enjoyed showcasing my art with 471 Routes CIC over the last year – the unique experience celebrating Wirral art, live music and cultural events.
471 gave an opportunity for my autistic daughter to exhibit her artwork to a much wider local audience than we could have managed otherwise. It’s been a special experience working with the 471 team whose dedication to linking the arts to both young and old is to be congratulated.
A great, nurturing organisation putting the performers at the heart of all the work they do. They are so clearly defined by the way they prioritise artists and care about the quality of the creative environment and they’re just genuinely good people.
