Future Retrospective

In January 2025, Start Yard in Birkenhead, we hosted ‘Future Retrospective,’ an art exhibition that was part of the Inspire Tour: A Celebration of Creativity, Diversity, and Community. This event was made possible through funding received from Wirral Borough of Culture, supporting a winter season filled with artistic expression and cultural engagement.

‘Future Retrospective’ explored the influence of historical moments on contemporary creativity, showcasing the intersection of cultural heritage and modern artistic innovation. The exhibition brought together a diverse group of artists who reflected on the past to inform and inspire the present, creating thought-provoking works that resonated with attendees.

As part of the wider Inspire Tour, which featured live music, storytelling, and a variety of artistic events, ‘Future Retrospective’ played a key role in celebrating local talent, resilience, and creativity.
