410 Rock Ferry Festival – Indigo Café Garden Stage

A celebration of Rock Ferry with music and art

Join us for a vibrant celebration of Rock Ferry through music and art, set across two of the area’s most iconic venues: the beloved Indigo Café and the historic Byrne Avenue Baths.

At the Indigo Café, enjoy an afternoon of live entertainment alongside their fantastic food. The newly renovated garden will host the Garden Stage, while the upstairs event space will feature the Poets Stage – both showcasing local talent and Wirral favourites.

Meanwhile, Byrne Avenue Baths will host a special art exhibition featuring artists from Rock Ferry. Also at Byrne Avenue the festival moves into their brand new venue space, the Old Laundry Room, where a line-up of bands will bring the noise to the festival with a line up of local punk bands.

471 Routes C.I.C. is proud to host this event on a ‘Pay What You Can’ basis, with tickets available at free, £2, or £5. Thanks to a small amount of funding from the Rock Ferry Community Fund, we are able to keep the event accessible to everyone, while any contributions made will be reinvested directly into supporting creative arts projects across the Wirral. By choosing to pay what you can afford, you’ll not only enjoy a great event but also help us continue to nurture and grow the local arts scene for our community.
We are asking people to purchase a ticket so we can keep a track of numbers coming along to the venues. (Even if you are purchasing a Free ticket.)

15:15-15:45 Slightly Foxed

It’s great to bring back acoustic duo Slightly Foxed to Indigo Café. They are known throughout the Wirral, regularly entertaining patrons on the community café circuit with their americana/country blues songs. With Craig supplying finger picking blues style guitar and Saramay’s jazzy vocals you are sure to be entertained.

16:00-16:30 Loreton

A regular at Indigo’s evening events, Loreton is an incredibly talented singer, composer and producer and was the Sisters Of Song nights first electronic performer. She will be bringing a set of her own fabulous songs that you can check out on SoundCloud.

16:45-17:15 John Jenkins & Pippa Murdie

We’re delighted to be able to bring John Jenkins and Pippa Murdie to Indigo Café’s acoustic stage. John is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter who has performed up and down the country supporting the release of his latest album and it’s a real treat to have the equally talented Pippa Murdie with him. 17:30-18:00 James & Mike Ryan

We close the afternoon acoustic stage with award-winning songwriter – and Rock Ferry native – Mike Ryan, performing songs from his latest album The Space Where You Should Be, released on our grassroots label 471 Records. Adding to the moment, we’re delighted to welcome his son James, a remarkable young guitarist already showing the signs of a virtuoso in the making.

A night bus, N1, runs between Birkenhead and Liverpool every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. First departing from Birkenhead Bus Station at 1am, the bus leaves to Liverpool every hour, on the hour, until 5am. Full details on that service can be found here.
