Born in 1964 in Birkenhead.
Education:
- MA in Postmodern Theory and Practice (Liverpool University/Tate)
- PGCE in Fine Art (Liverpool)
- BA in Fine Art & Sociology
My practice is mainly studio-based, working from my photographs, plein air sketches, and memory, predominantly using acrylic on canvas. My recent inspiration is split between the River Mersey and the landscape around the Llŷn Peninsula, drawing from the ever-changing rhythms of the sea and the land.
Living in New Brighton, with an unbroken view of the Irish Sea, I aim to evoke a passion for the sea and landscape – something I hope is self-evident in my paintings. My work is rich in natural light, texture, and colour, carefully balanced to create a sense of space and sensitivity to the nature of each place. I am continually drawn to locations where nature still has a chance to thrive – many of which exist in marginal environments.
Over the years, I have exhibited in numerous galleries, including:

Additionally, I have sold work in France, Canada, the United States, and the UK.
