Dawn Quinn, an artist living on Egremont Promenade for over three years, finds endless inspiration in her breathtaking surroundings. Overlooking a tranquil beach and Liverpool’s vibrant skyline, she captures the glowing reflections of city lights on the River Mersey in her work.
Dawn has always been artistic and creative, painting murals on her children’s bedroom walls and that of family and friends. During her 28-year career in education, she worked closely with the school art coordinator, teaching art to children in Years 5 and 6 – a role she thoroughly enjoyed, as did her pupils. Since moving to Wallasey, her artistic passion has been reignited, inspired by the stunning scenery outside her window. Dawn primarily paints with acrylics, drawn to their bold, vivid effects, and adds a signature touch of gold leaf to most pieces. Recently, she has ventured into watercolours, embracing new artistic possibilities with excitement and imagination.
