Clare Wrench

Clare Wrench is a landscape artist based in Cheshire, who likes to create impressionistic and experimental abstract paintings.

Artistic inspiration is often gained from the natural world with its endless beauty, patterns, colours and shapes. Clare had an interest in art from early childhood and she continued this passion by studying illustration and surface pattern design.

Influenced by artists such as Claude Monet, she primarily uses acrylic paints layering colours to achieve depth, tone and texture. Clare paints atmospheric and vibrantly colourful compositions with an impressionistic style.

A long with her admiration for nature and wildlife, Clare’s versatility with different themes in her paintings also includes her affection for architectural design. This includes painting cityscapes and she participated in the Liverpool architectural Festival in the summer of 2024.

Clare was a finalist in A window to your neighbourhood open exhibition inside dot-art gallery in Liverpool. She has exhibited her paintings in several galleries in the northwest of England and Clare also exhibits her paintings in art fairs and artisan markets.
